MENAJOC Judicial Mentorship Program
MENAJOC’s judicial mentorship program seeks to increase the diversity and excellence of the California judiciary by encouraging and mentoring attorneys of Middle Eastern and North African descent who are interested in joining the judiciary.
Mentor judges will be available for those seeking guidance in applying to the bench and to those who have already applied. The role of the mentor judge is not to select or recommend candidates but to demystify the application and vetting process. Mentors and mentees will strive to meet quarterly to set objectives, evaluate progress, and discuss future professional development goals. The pairing of mentors and mentees, to the extent possible, will be based on geographical and practice areas.
Requirements for Mentors
Be a current or retired California judge who is a member in good standing of MENAJOC
Maintain the confidentiality of all communications with mentee
